Easy & Meaningful Ways to Celebrate Teacher Appreciation Week (with Free Printables!)

Mark your calendars—Teacher Appreciation Week is coming up!
In 2025, Teacher Appreciation Week runs from May 5–9, with National Teacher Day falling on Tuesday, May 6. It's the perfect time to show a little extra love to the amazing educators who help our kids grow, learn, and thrive.

At Oy Vey Crafts, we believe in saying todah (thank you!) with a bit of creativity and heart. Whether your child attends a Jewish preschool, a neighborhood kindergarten, or anywhere in between, here are some sweet and simple ways to show your appreciation.

We’ve made it super simple for you to celebrate:

1. Color a Card Together

We’ve created free printable Teacher Appreciation cards that are easy to print and perfect for little hands to decorate. Choose from:

  • Todah Morah – for female teachers

  • Todah Moreh – for male teachers

  • Thankful for My Teacher – a universal option

Just print, fold, and break out the crayons or markers. When we filled ours out, I added a short note inside each card, and my daughter very proudly drew some extremely abstract portraits of her teachers. (Captions may have been required!) 2. Team up with the rest of the class

Coordinate a group gift or classroom surprise if you're able! Even something as simple as each child bringing a single flower for a DIY bouquet can be really special.

3. Add a Note from the Heart

Help your child write a short note about something they love or learned from their teacher—and feel free to add a parent note too. Teachers cherish those heartfelt moments. Pair it with a flower, snack, or drawing to round it out!

4. Treats

Drop off a favorite snack, a coffee shop gift card, or a little bundle of goodies. Even a single wrapped cookie with a kind note can brighten a teacher’s whole day.

At the end of the day, it’s about saying thank you in whatever way feels right for your family.
Whether you give a card, a hug, a snack, or a handmade suncatcher, your appreciation goes a long way—and your child’s teacher will feel the love.
